Patrick Mahedy

President

Patrick Mahedy is an Architect and Town Planner.

 

As Director of PRM Architects + Town Planners he has been working on the South Coast full time for 28 Years.

 

Patrick’s business Philosophy is dedicated to Creating Towns and Villages which are founded upon ecologically sustainable design principals, including Energy Efficiency and innovative architecture.

 

As a Local Business owner in Gerringong for over 15 years, he is also committed to seeing and helping other businesses grow and develop.

 

Patrick is also the Immediate Past Chair and Executive committee member of the NSW Country Division of the Australian Institute of Architects, a position he has held for over 8 years.

 

 

Roy Schmitz

Vice President

Roy Schmitz has lived in Gerroa since 2005 and is the owner of Scoops Ice Creamery and Café in Gerringong.

 

Roy has had experience in being an Executive Board Member as he was previously Vice President of Kiama & District Chamber of Commerce in 2006/2007.

 

Roy is actively involved with local schools and sporting groups.

   

 

Shane Douglas

Treasurer

Shane, his wife and 3 children originally from Barrack Point moved to Kiama some years ago.

 

 With a background in hospitality of over 20 years, Shane on arriving in Kiama became the caterer for the Kiama Bowling Club, then within 12 months bought Seabream Café in Manning St, Kiama, which the family has now owned for 5 years and run for 2 of those years.

 

Shane is a keen West Tiger NRL supporter and also loves to compete in the Lawn Bowls teams at Kiama Bowling Club.

 

If he has any spare time he loves to read Non Fiction books on World War One, Biographies and is addicted to Spy Thrillers.

 

 

Anthony Langlois Secretary

Anthony has been selling real estate in the Kiama/Gerringong/Jamberoo area for the last 10 years and since he knew it was where he definitely wanted to live and own a business he opened an office in Gerringong 4 years ago.

 

Since then his office has grown tremendous growth and success.

 

With a vibrant, outgoing, professional and hard working personality Anthony’s clients not only feel confident in his product knowledge and performance but also consider him a good friend that will go out of his way to fulfil his client’s needs.

 

 

Maggie Taylor

Immediate Past President

Maggie’s husband, Mark, has lived in the Kiama district, on and off, since 1980 and introduced Maggie to the area from Perth in 2004.

 

Maggie immediately fell in love with the seaside rural community and has called it home since.

 

Maggie is the mother of five children and step-mother to another five, ranging in ages from 12 to 22.

 

Her well-developed organizational and management skills are now used to run The Gourmet Saint group of companies which are involved in both Hospitality and the Information and Communications Technology industries, locally and nationally

 

 

Brian Longbottom

Kiama Tourism representative

Brian Longbottom is the Kiama Tourism representative on Kiama & District Chamber Board.

 

He is the current Kiama Tourism Chair and principle of Print Promotions and Marketing P/L which works with Local Council in Marketing Consultancy/Advertising.

 

Brian has a number of corporate clients in Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Sydney markets.

 

 

Geoff Wilson

Executive Member

Geoff has a strong sales & marketing background having held senior executive positions with a number of international companies.

 

Since immigrating to Australia from the U.K. in 1988 Geoff has established a successful second career as a financial and business adviser, and he is also a partner in local firm Sparkle & Hide.

 

 

Martin Taylor

Executive Member

Martin moved to the Kiama area from Sydney 20 years ago and now operates several businesses in the region.

 

His principal interest is “The Main Artery” a Marketing Services Agency established in Sydney in 1978 which provides Graphic Design, Copy Writing, Marketing, Advertising, Packaging, Print and Project Management, Event Staging and Web Design services to business.

 

He also has a Home Security company.

 

In addition he imports Flight Simulators from the US and is the exclusive Australian Agent for a range of luxury handbags from South Africa.

 

In his spare time Martin is a Scoutmaster, a keen chef, a sailor and a recreational pilot who enjoys a regular game of golf.

 

 

Sue Granger-Holcombe Executive Officer

Sue Granger-Holcombe and her husband Jerry moved from Havant near Portsmouth on the South Coast of England to Kiama in September 2007.

 

Sue had an extensive background in sales and marketing and was a director of a technology-based training company for 13 years.

 

Her husband is and ex Naval Officer, Lawyer and Magistrate.

 

Since moving to live permanently in Kiama, Sue has become an active member of Rotary, and joined the Chamber as its Executive Officer in February 2008.
