Buy Local Campaign Competition Terms & Conditions

Customer entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 or older as of 14.04.20
Business participation is open only to businesses that are located in the Kiama Local Government Area and that display the Kiama and District Business Chamber “2020 Think, Shop & Buy Local” sticker (Participating Business).
Not valid for chain supermarkets or petrol stations.
All participating businesses must register to participate in the 2020 campaign. Registration forms can be obtained by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org . Once registered, a 2020 Think, Shop & Buy Local sticker will be issued. Registrations must be received no later than 06.04.2020.
Competition starts on 14.04.2020 and concludes at 5pm on 14.07.2020
To enter, you must spend $50 or more in one transaction at a Registered Participating Business.
Customers must write details of their name, telephone number and address on the back of the receipt showing expenditure of $50 or more. (Entry Receipts)
The Entry Receipt must be left at the Participating Business. The Entry Receipt is the responsibility of the Registered Participating Business prior to delivery to the Kiama and District Business Chamber Office.
The Registered Participating Business must deliver all Entry Receipts held by them to the Kiama and District Business Chamber Office (upstairs Edessa Arcade Unit 1/88-90 Terralong St, Kiama) by 4pm on 20.07.2020. Office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9am-4pm.
Prizes will be drawn on 22.07.2020 at the Kiama and District Business Chamber Christmas in July Event.
Prizes are; 2 x 1st Prizes of $1000 each, 2 x 2nd Prizes $500 each and 2 x 3rd Prizes of $250 each.
Prizes will be in the form of vouchers in $50 denominations and can redeemed at any of the local businesses that were registered to take part in the 2020 Buy Local Campaign. Vouchers are non-transferrable and will be valid until 30.11.2020. Vouchers are not redeemable for cash and no change will be given by the receiving business.
All registered businesses will receive a list of winners details for identification purposes. Businesses have 14 working days to present the redeemed vouchers to the Chamber for refund of the vouchers value.
If the 2 x 1st Prizes winning customer’s Entry Receipt’s are from a Kiama and District Business Chamber Member, each Member (business) receives a $500 cash prize and 3 months (issues) free half-page adverts in the Kiama & Area Focus Magazine.
If the winning customers receipt is from a business that is not a Chamber Member the business will receive a complimentary membership of the Kiama and District Business Chamber for the 2020/21 financial year (valued at $125) and one half-page ad in the Kiama & Area Focus Magazine.
The draw consists of one (1) draw per prize with the first valid Entry Receipt drawn to win each successive prize. Winning Entry Receipts will not be eligible for the successive draws.
Winning customers and businesses will be contacted by phone and email within 3 days of the draw at the Kiama and District Business Chamber Christmas in July Event on 22.07.2020
No responsibility is accepted for any late, lost or misdirected Entry Receipt.
All Entry Receipts become the property of the Kiama and District Business Chamber. Entry Receipts will be stored securely at the Kiama and District Business Chamber Office until the prize draw and then securely disposed of following the draw.
Kiama and District Business Chamber may use the name of the entrant specified on the Entry Receipt and the details of the Participating Business delivering that Entry Receipt in promotional, marketing and publicity activities. The prize winners may be required to be part of the media promotion announcing the winning details of the competition.
